Subject: [FENG SHUI] The Adventurer Archetype
Date: 26 Jun 1996 18:13:21 GMT

I don't remember if I saw the "archeologist" archetype here or on the
FS list, but here's my take on the role an Indy would fit in...

Mike
-------------
                              Adventurer

"Kid, after you've seen all the things I've seen, done all the things
that I've done, and killed all the things that I've killed - then you
come back and say to me what you just said, and I'll _still_ kick your
ass."

Around the turn of the 19th century, a new breed of hero was born: you.
Men like you climbed mountains "because they were there," probed the
vastness of primordial jungles and severe arctic wastes, plumbed the
depths of mysterious oceans deep, revealed the treasures of ancient
civilizations, and perched precariously atop the rims of active
volcanoes.

Thrill-seeker and bon vivant - you may be a born explorer, eternally
wandering the unknown corners of the world and charting new courses
onto history's pages; you may be a millionaire playboy who is simply
living for the thrill of the moment, always striving to outdo others
of your ilk who constantly seek higher and higher plateaus of
accomplishment; you may even be a world-famous archeologist who
searches the globe for fabulous relics.

For you, the Secret War is the Ultimate Adventure. Battling the
forces of evil is nothing new to you; you've always been caught in the
middle of something in the past, so it's no surprise you've been drawn
into what seems to be the most important mission you've ever been on.
