Subject: TSR's plans for DJ (again)

Sorry about that prior post, it wasn't supposed to go out yet. I was called
away from my computer and saved it to Flashmail, then not thinking I signed
on to download some fonts and during the flashsession the incomplete letter
was sent. Here is the letter in completed form, I wish I could have found out
something more.

According to the information that I recieved from Jim Atkiss of TSR even
thier not sure what is going to happen to DJ. At this time they are moving
the product into the TSR warehouse and they will continue to distribute DJ to
the hobby trade. As for the future he mentioned three possiblities; revamping
DJ, letting the product die, or making the campaign setting into a AD&D game
world.
I think we would all like to see DJ revamped, but as Jim Atkiss brought
up it would be in direct compation with AD&D as a fantasy game. I know, I
know there is no simularity between the two game systems but how many of us
were playing AD&D before switching to Mythus?
While I fully expected him to bring up the option of killing the
system the third option caught me totally by surprise. AErth as a AD&D
campiagn setting? I don't know why this caught me so of guard, it makes a
perverted kind of sense. After going out and spending all the money on the
lawsuit and settlement they might as well salvage what they can. So if they
want nothing to do with the DJ system the rest of the source material should
be good for, with garbage for filler, about 30 books and 10 box sets.
Enough of that I'm starting to get worked up again. If you do want to
see DJ continued PLEASE send me a letter saying so I'll make sure that TSR
recieves them AND that we get a reply of some sort to our concerns. I want to
thank everybody that responded to my first such request and ask you to
encourage other to send in thier letters.

Send your letters to TSR to: [M--dr--k] at [aol.com]
Thanks.
By the way Jim Atkiss is on AOL and probably this list. If you are listening
Jim please drop us a message I'm sure we would all like to hear from you.
