Subject: Howdy...

This is Frank Mentzer, editor of Mythic Masters*
Magazine, monitoring this ListServ as usual.
(That answers a couple questions that popped up...)
Somebody called MMM a 'fanzine', which I find more
than a bit amusing. Over 90% of it is written by the
author of the game system -- Gary Gygax -- and it's
professionally edited and published; hardly a fanzine!
To address a few other questions that appeared:
MMM is available in both paper and electronic formats,
though the latter are (as yet) available only to
accounts on the America Online and GEnie networks.
We're working on branching out to the Internet, and
when that happens ANYBODY can E-subscribe.
    U.S. rates are: 1 issue $5 paper, $3.50 Emag;
12-issue sub $50 paper, $30 Emag; Duple (both paper
& Emag) $7.50 one issue, $75 for 12-issue sub. Those
prices essentially apply overseas as well, but ADD the
mailing cost to it (it's 64 pages 8.5x11"; guesstimate
or ask your local postal service). Budget plan
(subscriptions only): Pay half down, then the other
half by the time you get your 5th issue; applies
to both Emag and paper.

Enough of the advertisement... now ABOUT the mag.
We are VERY interested in your submissions --
magickal items, monsters (no, sorry, can't use
those AD&D variants), personas, vocations, house
rules, nits to pick, errata, and the like. But
as yet we can't handle adventures; they get
too large, and we've got limited space.
We also have a column called "Treading the Boards"
in which excerpts from computer messages on a chosen
topic are edited and printed. We typically contact
and receive the permission from each contributor
to print his or her comments/input; we also
scrupulously credit those contributors, giving
their electronic addresses.
Here's the rub: some of you lunkheads are posting
to this ListServ and not signing the messages. In
doing so you're making your commentaries totally
free (not to mention uncredited). So sign 'em!
And yes, the implication holds; we'll be
contacting some of you within the next 4-6 weeks
about reprinting some comments you made to/on
THIS VERY LISTSERV!  ::cackling evilly::
In closing (for now; more from us later, to be
sure), you can contact me for direct Email, and/or
forwarding to Gary Gygax, at the AOL logon given below.
    See you on the boards...
