        Assault Groups
Wing: The wing is the smallest unit in an assault group. An
individual ship in a wing is lead by the Executive Officer, or XO, a
wing is lead by a Wing Commander (in the lead ship of a wing, the XO
is usually the Wing Commander, though in vessels that require a crew,
this may not be so). A Wing consists of two to three vessels. If
the craft are primarily light interceptors, there will be two to a
wing. If the unit is composed primarily of heavy bombers, the unit
will usually have three vessels. Capital ships are never considered
to be part of a Wing. There are usually four Wings to a Squadron.
A Wing is composed of the same class of vehicle.

Squadron: A Squadron is the next largest unit in an assault
organization. It is usually composed of four Wings, all of the same
class. However, groupings and arrangements of Wings within a
squadron is a little more open to change than the Wing unit. One of
the most common alterations is the bombing squadron; in this
squadron, two interceptor Wings protect two bomber Wings. There are
about five to ten squadrons in a Group. The leader of a squadron is
referred to as a Squadron Commander, and he is rarely the Wing
Commander of his Wing.

Group: A group consists of five to ten squadrons. Often
auxiliary units, such as medical, resupply, and maintenence units
are included in the Group. Groups are often assigned to protect
minor solar systems or are carried aboard carrier vessels and
battleships. The leader of a Group is often the leader of the
vessel or base from which the Group is resupplied and stored. In
the case of a vessel, this individual would be a Captain, or
possibly even an Admiral. In the case of an orbital base, the
individual would be a Commander or of higher rank.

Fleet: This is the largest level of organization for the
Corporate Navy. It is primarily rated by the composition of captial
ships. Each capital ship is then recognized for the size of its
Group. There are currently six Fleets in the Corporate Navy, the
largest of which is Alpha Fleet.
