Newsgroups: rec.games.frp.misc From: [n--f] at [mace.cc.purdue.edu] (paulhicks) Subject: C&S Date: Sat, 5 Mar 1994 18:29:47 GMT Version 2.1 03/05/94 Dear Netters, Because of the interest I have received, I am compiling, and posting (every so often), a list of all Chivalry and Sorcery (C&S) supplements/game aids and their descriptions (as well as trying to obtain them). If anyone knows of any more than listed below, please let me know. If anyone has any of the supplements I don't have, please also let me know (I have the ones marked with a *). <><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>< (c)1976 Chevalier: "...a pre-C&S version, self pubished by Ed and myself (Wilf Backhaus) in 1976. Updated for the second edition. *(c)1979 Saurians: A world of inteligent warm blooded dinosaurs along with expanded rules on languages and litteracy. Although it was to be updated for the second edition, I am not sure if this ever came about. ~(c)1979 Arden: A sample kingdom based on the author's own world. I have a photocopy of Arden, but would love a 'real' copy. Destrier: (first addition supplement) An add on to the combat system using a card system to help with the running of personal combat. Players played a card wtih their intended action Included some additional rules and clarifications. *(c)1978 Bireme and Galley: Detailed rules on ship combat compete with cardboard ships and 25mm scale plans. A possible update was in the works but never came to be. * The Dragonlord: A adventure. * The Songsmith: Another adventure set in the same place as Dragonlord. * GM Screen: A screen with all the proper tables, published by Judges Guild (They are out of business). Land of the Rising Sun: A medieval Japan RPG using the C&S system with a simplified first edition combat system. One book with a better binding. Written by Lee Gold. *(c)1978 Towers for Tyrants: A 25mm scale 3 dimensional cardboard model of a castle. Fortification Plans: A 25mm scale 3 dimensional cardboard model of forticications. Homes and Hovels: A 25mm scale 3 dimensional model cardboard model of houses. *(c)1977 Castle Plans: Two dimensional 4 castle plans for use with minatures in 25mm scale. Rumor has it that sourcebooks three and four were written but never published, and that a possible third edition is in the works. Additionally, Scott Bizar (the editor of FGU) makes mention of a number of C&S supplemnts in the various introductions to the C&S books. These include: 'Saracen and Crusader', 'king Arthur', 'mesoamerica' and a role players guidebook(s). If anyone has any info on the above, please let me know. <><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>< I do not represent Fantasy Games Unlimited (FGU) in any manner, however, I know that it still exists! Their address is available upon request. <><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>< Thanks, Paul -- +------------------------------------------------------------------+ | "...and on the eigth day god created the Sauter Mean Diameter." | | - D.W.Senser | +-Paul G.
