TSR Inc. and Wischstadt Entertainment are finalizing the licensing
agreement for the first Forgotten Realms fan magazine, entitled RealmSpeak
(tm) Magazine. Production will start within the next few weeks, and
issues will be in the stores by April.

Here is a sneak peek at the contents of the magazine... let me introduce
you to the various features of RealmSpeak. Then, let your eyes wander
through the pages and let us know what you think!

Editorial (hey, yeah, this section) will have people other than myself
talking in it from time to time about anything 'Realms they want. Various
staff members and contributors, amateur and professional, will all have
the
chance to speak their piece.

Forgotten Realms Journal Entries is a section devoted to tales of your
journeys in the Forgotten Realms. Everyone is invited to "sit around the
campfire" and tell the tales of their favorite adventures. Be it a story
of
your first visit to the Realms or the synopsis of your latest epic
odyssey,
we want you to share it with the readers.

Campign Ideas will hold the key to this magazine. This article is the
place
where your campaign's work will be showcased, where readers will have
thier
own campaigns broadened, and where the Letters forum will get its
nourishment.

Fiction is just that...fiction! We will fill this section with the best
new
fiction we can get our hands on. Although this is also a "fan section," we
will invite TSR writers to share their previously unpublished materials
with
us.

Letters - What do you think of this magazine? Does this issue meet your
standards? Do you have a question regarding an article or an idea of your
own
that you would like to see in the magazine? Do you have a different idea
for
applying the Campaign Ideas? Your letters will be printed here.

Merle's Musings - What place does a priest of Lathander have in everyday
society? Does a ranger in the High Forest have any 'special' duties he
must
perform? Do you have a "core-rules" topic you would like to see expanded
in
greater detail with regards to the Realms, or a question about a
particular
class or kit, Merle is the man to see! From his humble home in the
valleys,
Merle will answer these RealmsLore questions and many like them.

Forgotten Realms Q & A is another RealmsLore article, except this time
anything goes! If you have a question about something in the Realms, just
drop us a note and Elminster (read Ed Greenwood) will answer your
questions...that is, of course, if you say please!

NetSpeak will bring those of you who don't have access to the America On
Line
or other on line services, the best of the various "threads" of
discussion.
If you are already in the 'Net then let us know if you find a topic that
everyone needs to read!

Classifieds and Gamer's Guide Advertisements - If you really need that
out-of-print adventure or have one you want to get rid of for trade or
this
is the place for your classified ad. Want to know what other Forgotten
Realms
products are available - take a look inside. You'll probably find
something
you'd want.

Forgotten Realms Preview / Review - Ever wonder what's coming out soon?
Want
to know what's inside before you buy? Well, we will take a look at the
latest
products and give you our opinion. If we're good, maybe the folks at TSR
will
let us take a peek inside the products yet to be released!

Before I go just let me add that RealmSpeak magazine is written by
Forgotten
Realms gamers for Forgotten Realms gamers! If you have a story to share, a
question to ask, or a comment to make just write us at:

Thank you for showing your support!

If you are interested in writing (or even drawing) for RealmSpeak (tm)
Magazine please refer to the writer's guidelines that are available from
DRAGON Magazine. (RealmSpeak guidelines are still being written, but they
won't be much different that the standard TSR guidelines)

Thanks again,
Bryon Wischstadt
