                 Campaign Information Manager (tm)

Campaign Information Manager (tm) is a new software product
developed by Crusader Software (tm) which brings information
management techniques to Fantasy Role Playing Games (FRPG).
Campaign Information Manager (tm) can be used with any FRPG
background (Greyhawk, Harn or a custom world) and with any FRPG
system (AD&D, HarnMaster, or a custom system).

Campaign Information Manager (tm) provides the following features:
   Custom Calendar -    The GM defines the number of months per
                        year, assigns the names, seasons, and
                        number of days for each month. These
                        selections have an effect on weather
                        generation.
   Custom Countries -   The GM can define the countries that exist
                        within the campaign area. Each country is
                        defined based on its legal, social and
                        environmental description. These
                        descriptions have an effect on the
                        generation of weather, encounters and
                        current events. 

   Encyclopedia -       The GM can enter data into an encyclopedia
                        database. This provides the GM with a
                        place for non-time related data such as
                        places, people and organizations. The size
                        of the Encyclopedia is only limited by
                        disk space. Each entry in the encyclopedia
                        may be composed of up to 16,000
                        characters. 

   Logbook -            The GM can enter data into a logbook. The
                        logbook is keyed to the calendar and is
                        therefore designed to contain data that is
                        related to time (ie events that occurred
                        during an adventure). As part of the
                        logbook the GM, may generate weather,
                        encounters and current events.
                        Weather generation is based on the season,
                        current country and the terrain within
                        that country. 
                        Encounters are generated based on the
                        legal, social and terrain description of
                        the current country. Both wilderness and
                        city encounters can be generated.
                        Current Events are generated based on the
                        legal and social description for each
                        country in the campaign area. These events
                        can provide background material or can be
                        used as a source for upcoming adventures. 

   Other features include printing capability, full MS-Windows
hypertexted help system and the ability to import and export
information.

Campaign Information Manager (tm) is a MS-Windows 3.1 application.
Minimum system requirements include: DOS 5.0 or later, MS-Windows
3.1 (or OS/2 v2.1), 4 megabytes of RAM, MS compatible mouse, and
10 megabytes of free hard disk space.


Campaign Information Manager (tm) is a commercial software package
(ie *not* freeware or shareware). Campaign Information Manager
(tm) cost $40 (US) including shipping and handling.
