			    WHAT YOU CAN DO
		 TO FIGHT BACK AGAINST FDA HARRASSMENT
		      OF THE NUTRITIONAL INDUSTRY
 
 
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration wants to regulate vitamins,
amino acids and herbs.
 
They want to take them off the market and make them available only
by presciption from a medical doctor.
 
The US FDA wants to limit our access to these natural non-drug
substances which are commonly found within our bodies or growing as
wild plants.  We need these items for our own health care.
 
We DON"T NEED to pay a doctor for a permission slip to buy vitamins!
 
THE US FOOD AND DRUG ADMINISTRATION WANTS TO LIMIT OUR FREEDOM OF
SPEECH AND ACCESS TO INFORMATION BY CREATING AN ATMOSPHERE OR FEAR.
 
This should not make us happy.	It SHOULD make us VERY ANGRY.
 
We neither need nor want government regulation of vitamins, amino
acids and herbs.  We neither need nor want criminal investigation
teams performing undercover operations in health food stores.
 
We want FREE ACCESS to vitamins, herbs and amino acids.
 
We want FREEDOM OF SPEECH regarding proven scientific information
without it being called "label claims."
 
We DO NOT want additional enforcement granted to the Food and Drug
Administration.	 Thanks but no thanks, Senator Kennedy.	 And
Congressman Dinglel (MI).  And Congressman Wasman (CA).
 
We want passage of the Health Freedom Bill introduced by Senator
Orrin Hatch and Congressman Bill Richardson.
 
DEMAND THAT YOUR CONGRESSMAN STATE HIS SPECIFIC POSITION ON THIS
ISSUE FOR THE RECORD.  ASK HIM IF HE WILL SUPPORT AND CO-SPONSOR
THE HEALTH FREEDOM BILL.
 
Look up your congressman's number and write it down.
 
Call your congressman and make an appointment to speak with him.
Write down the name of the person with whom you spoke.
 
Bring along some friends who are also constituents.
 
Bring along a pack of cigarettes.  These are legal to buy if you
are over 21.  They have package labels which advise you, when used
as directed, that they can injur or kill you.  They are the number 1
killer in America.  They kill more people than any single cause of
death.
 
Bring along a can of beer.  It is legal to buy if you are over 21.
According to the Surgeon General in 1985, alcohol kills over
125,000 every year.
 
Inform your congressman that enough is enough.	If he doesn't like
vitamins, he doesn't have to take them.	 He has no right to keep
them from you.	Inform your congressman that he has no right to
further subsidize the medical system by forcing you to pay a doctor
to sign a little paper which "gives you permission" to buy vitamins.
Inform your congressman that he has no right to subsidize well paid
pharmacists by requiring that you pay them to count out vitamins
from big bottles and put them into little bottles.
 
Inform your congressman that you have had quite enough of Big Mother
and its about time she get lost.
 
Inform your congressman that he still works for you, and can be FIRED.
 
LATER IS TOO LATE - YOU MUST ACT NOW TO PREVENT THIS STUPIDITY.
People like Senator Kennedy need to be sent back to the factory.
Please make your voice heard.  Intelligent people in America have
allowed this country to deteriorate to the point that you practically
can't breathe without paying some pimp for the right to do so.
They have done so by assuming that some one else will protect their
rights, and they have remained quietly at home while those rights
got wittled away.  Look who is running your country, folks.  Look
what they are doing.  Freedom?	You call this country FREE?
In Los Angeles, the streets are ruled by machine gun wielding scum
because it is illegal to defend one's self from them.
It is even a FELONY to shoot some pepper spray in their eyes while
they're stealing your wallet or raping your wife.  The War on Drugs
has pushed the price of cocaine from $25 to $2500 per GRAM!
Now its worth KILLING over, which is just what is happening.
But it SURE MAKES JOBS for somebody, doesn't it?  And the heightened
publicity makes it certain that every kid has just got to try them.
And they want you to pay a doctor for a license to buy vitamins...
 
If you don't make yourselves heard, YOU LOSE WHAT LITTLE YOU HAVEN'T
LOST ALREADY!  Please... Get out of the easy chair for just a moment.
