Well, I know this wasn't aimed at me, but since I have the
information, and you seem so high-and-mighty about it, I'll
give you what you were requesting.  Also, please note that
according to Miller-Keane's Encyclopedia & Dictionary of 
Medicine, Nursing & Allied Health (5th edition, 1994), cocaine
is listed as having a "possible" risk of physical addiction,
contrary to what you had posted (sorry I didn't respond to
the original post).  Psychological addiction _is_ rated as 
"high", as you stated.

Not wanting to waste my entire afternoon typing in the
"Uses and Effects of Controlled Substances" table from this
Dictionary, I will do some of the more "commonly mentioned"
drugs on this newsgroup:  cocaine, heroin, and marijuana.
If anyone would like other drugs (remembering these are all
drugs which are currently illegal in the US and Canada)
typed out in this form, please send me a request by email.

COCAINE:  (stimulant, schedule II)

aka:  coke, flake, snow
medical use:  local anesthetic

method of administration:  injected, sniffed, smoked
possible effects:  euphoria, drowsiness, respiratory depression, 
constricted pupils, nausea
effects of overdose: slow and shallow breathing, clammy skin,
convulsions, coma, possible death
withdrawl syndrome:  watery eyes, runny nose, yawning, loss of
appetite, irritability, tremors, panic, chills and sweating, 
cramps, nausea

MARIJUANA:  (cannabis, schedule I)

aka:  pot, acapulco gold, grass, reefer, sinsemilla, thai sticks
medical uses:  under investigation
physical dependence:  degree unknown
psychological dep:  moderate
tolerance:  yes
duration of effects:  2-4 hours
method of administration:  smoked, oral
possible effects:  euphoria, relaxed inhibitions, increased appetite,
disoriented behavior
effects of overdose:  fatigue, paranoia, possible psychosis
withdrawl syndrome:  insomnia, hyperactivity, and decreased appetite
occasionally reported.
