Subject: CHEMISTRY: Introduction

Hi there,

The following two posts, CHEMISTRY: Atomic Structure and CHEMISTRY: Bonding
and Structure contain a very basic introduction to bonding in chemistry.
I hope that some of the things i wrote will help non-chemists, who just happen
to feel the need to do some chemistry ;) , understand the substances they are
using a little better. The theory used is quite simple, so contains none of the
more advanced ideas like wave equations, hybridisation etc. If there is a
positive response then i could write more files and cover other topics - mainly
organic chemistry, including explanations of reactions and purification
techniques. If alt.drugs.chemistry is created then i will post any future
files there. Happy reading ! :)
