From: [p--a--l] at [cyberden.sf.ca.us] Newsgroups: alt.drugs Subject: LSD Bust Date: Fri, 02 Jul 93 22:19:29 PDT Pay extra close attention to the news in the next few days. The largest LSD bust in history just came down, and we'll all be affected. Have you ever wondered why a drug so difficult to manufacture is sold at such pleasantly low prices? It is because the people principally involved in the distribution of the drug are not in it for profit, at least in the monetary sense. The four people arrested in my town two days ago, after selling something like 150 grams of pure acid to narcs (that's not a typo, we'r talking something on the order of a million doses here) are gentle, kind people, interested in the spiritual possibilities inherent in entheogenic exploration. These are friends of mine, people I love, people I trust, people who did what they did with their eyse open and aware of the risk of this kind of bust and willing to accept that risk because they believed in what they were doing. These people acted from love, and I know them to be sincere. Please, try to watch the news about this with a very careful eye. Get those bullshit detectors powered up and put them on the highest setting - they'll see plenty of action in whatever the media deigns to tell us. I will try to provide occasional updates if the conference is interested. These people are my friends, facing thirty year sentences. Two of them are single parents. These casualties in this war sicken me. This is one of the most unfair acts I have ever seen out of this government.
