CCU Headquarters This is a 5 story building at 1444 Market Street in San Francisco. It came very cheap. There is 4500 sq ft per floor, plus a basement. The main floor is the commercial center for hemp shops and a museum. I saw an original reefer madness poster tonight that is phenominal! The fourth floor will be the buyers club. The fifth floor is the headquarters for CCU. CCU Plans Recruit lots more people. Have high mobility teams to hit big events where people gather. Ask for a signature, a dollar and an hour of time. It will be fun and adventurous, that's for sure! CCU South CCU has rented a big house in Southern California. Scott Imler is on his way down there to get it together as operations-central. Other Stuff Three Hawk Stand defendants found NOT GUILTY of cultivation! The plants were from seeds that were given away at a festival. Ron and others collected them. Some had sprouted, but were not expected to mature. This was a political statement, not a true intent to grow or produce marijuana. Three jurers stood strong on the fact that the law has gone too far and refused to convict. Eric Harlow was quick to point out "This is Jury Nullification at work!" I disagree. There was no intent to grow marijuana. These plants never would have matured to produce any pot. They knew it. We had three friends on the jury of 12 peers who stood thier ground and voted what's right, not what the law said. Maybe it is a form of jury nullification. Todd McCormic had his hearing. The judge ordered Todd's daily ration of medical marijuana returned to him until the trial! Looks like he's gonna walk on medical neccessity. I hear he's in pretty bad shape, which is why he needs the medmj in the first place. I've never met the man, but I hear he is pretty eloquent, smooth and intelligent for an uneducated man. After about 30 minutes with the judge, he got his pot back, IN JAIL! Joey Tranchina reports that the United Way has officially sponsored the local needle exchange operation, which by the way is still illegal. This is really really impressive! I'm liking this stuff more and more! Happy happy, joy joy. -alan Alan Silverman Californians for Compassionate Use [a--n] at [walstib.com] URL http://www.acu.org/~acu/ccu.html [h--ps--r] at [crl.com] My home page is http://www.crl.com/~hempster/
