Ted Royster, head of the Dallas office of the Bureau of Alcohol,
Tobacco and Firearms is being reassigned to El Paso, Texas.

Officials said he is being transferred because of inconsistent
statements he made about his involvement in the Feb. 28 raid.

Royster will be moved to El Paso to direct Project Alliance, a
multi-agency drug task force operating along the Mexican border,
said Francesca Perot, spokesman for the BATF Houston office.
