Subject: USCustoms confiscated workman's comp money as 'possible drug money'
Date: 7 Jan 1995 08:54:56 GMT

Friday, January 6, 1995 edition of the Houston Chronicle has a front
page article with a dateline of El Paso. I post a summary here since the
national wire services seem to have continued their censorship of the
issue.

Gilbert and Josefina Gomez are two farm workers from Mexico. Injured in
Californa, they received a workeman's comp settlement. EIGHT MONTHS AGO,
the United States governemt confiscated it from them at the border even
though they were not attempting to leave the United States.

Of the $19,000 confiscated, pressure from publicity has led the US
government to offer to return $13,000. Wonder what will be left for the
Gomez children after the lawyers get their cut too!

What did Nazis do to the personal belonging of Jews??? I've
forgotten....
