Dear Ms. Cassidy:

CONGRATULATIONS! The Awards & Recognition Committee of the Youth
Activities Division, National Safety Council, is pleased to award the
Eddie Eagle Gun Safety Program our AWARD OF MERIT for your outstanding
contribution for programs and/or activities that promote safety and
health, save lives, lessen injury and reduce economic loss.

The 6-member judging committee was delighted by the outstanding
caliber of the entries submitted this year. Your program will be
receiving our silver (Award of Merit) plaque in recognition of your
safety and health activities designed to make a contribution toward
the prevention of accidents and the advancement of safety and health
issues that effect our nation's youth. Your scrapbook/video tapes
entry form will be returned to you shortly.

We hope you can join us at the 1996 National Safety Council's annual
Youth Safety Congress. This year's event will be held in Orlando,
Florida, October 26-29, and we have an exceptional program planned. In
addition to our over 35 safety and health programs/workshop sessions
and Universal Studio tour, we will highlight a water safety program by
the U.S. Coast Guard and the Disney World staff at Typhoon Lagoon.

Another outstanding feature of Congress is the presentation of the
plaques to the attending award winners during the Awards Banquet. If
you cannot attend the Congress, however, your Merit plaque will be
mailed to you after the convention.

Again, please accept our sincere congratulations for a superior
program from the National Safety Council, the YAD Awards & Recognition
Committee and myself.

Sincerely yours,

Carole Huybrecht
Coordinator, Youth Awards Program
Youth Activities Division
