John Wallner, the organizer of the San Diego Militia, had a brief
meeting with San Diego Sheriff Jim Roache at the end of May.

Wallner explained the structure and goals of the Militia to Sheriff Roache,
and gave him copies of the group's literature.

The Sheriff reacted positively -- he wished the SDM good luck in achieving
its goals, and gave assurance that so long as the SDM remained law abiding,
there is nothing to fear from the Sheriff's department.

When Roache was asked to volunteer for the Militia, he indicated he would
give the matter some thought.

Of course, Jim Roache was voted out of office on June 7.  Wallner will be
contacting both Kolendar (the new Sheriff), and the chief of the San Diego
Police.

 			DON'T MISS OUR FIRST MEETING!

The first meeting of the San Diego Militia will be held next week.
