Subject: Schumer Grins while Gratia speaks of Death.
Date: 28 Apr 1994 20:41:04 GMT

If you had the misfortune of watching Congressman Charles Schumer democrat
from New York at the televised hearings on so called "assault weapons" you were
treated to quite a show.

To see this man grin Monday while Dr. Suzanne Gratia testified to his committe
of 3 on so called "Assault Weapons" is a disgrace. She was in the middle of
telling him how useless she felt while she watched the Lubby's Cafeteria killer
shoot her father 3 times until he died, and the whole time Schumer sits there
with that stupid smirk on his face. Why? Because she doesn't want to see him
ban weapons because criminals ignore the law but the honest citizen will not.
It is the honest citizen like herself, who obeyed the law against carrying a
concealed weapon in Texas. She left her gun in her car. She could have
stopped the maniac, but she obeyed the law. She paid the price of losing her
parents. Her parents paid a much greater price.

Let us never forget that Dr. Gratia could have saved her parents, but her fear
of the law kept her from taking the one item into the restuarant that could
have spared her parents and countless other people. She stated that in
retrospect, she would rather have been sitting in a jail with a felony charge,
than to have to watch her parents be gunned down by a maniac. And this
disgraceful Schumer continues grinning.

This man who wants to make our streets safer forgot the golden rule of weapons
handling. What did he show America during his side show? The golden rule of
weapons, is that you don't point the barrel of a gun at anyone. I wonder if he
knew that during his ranting and raving, that he pointed the barrel of a real
gun at both colleages on his left and right, not to mention that he pointed the
gun right at Ms. Tanya Metaska from the NRA. I'm surprised she didn't call him
on it.

Could Charlie Schumer stand to watch the Eddie Eagle tape on gun safety?
Could Charlie Schumer stand to learn how to show compassion?
Could Charlie Schumer stand to re-read the Constitution, the one who swore to
uphold?

Why do New Yorkers vote for this man?
