"What if they gave a war and nobody came?"

Remember, the energetic Ms. Thompson called for an identical militia
confrontation in Waco, too. I can't remember anything coming of it.
The doctrinal and legal errors in her "manifesto" are so pervasive that
I doubt anyone will take her seriously, even the Statist media.

But so what? I'm past the point of caring any more. The RTKBA camp is
not going to win this contest peacefully. The sooner they get a few
martyrs the better. The system doesn't work - Roberti probably threw
the recall, the media colludes in spreading lies about firearms
ownership, the truth is worthless and the Bill of Rights is already
nothing more than asswipe.

Both major parties have rolled over on the Second Amendment and RICO is
being invoked against the Libertarians in Michigan. The Omnibus Crime
Bill effectively outlaws dissent, or outlaws effective dissent. Almost
certainly it will be used for the prosecution of legitimate pro-RTKBA
organization almost immediately.

Somebody posted a really cornball story from the Dillon "Blue Press" on
some of the newsgroups the other day. It described a Statist America
where the gun was outlawed and gunowners persecuted as enemies of the
State, but all of the horrible "things to come" in this cautionary tale
have already happened, at least on a small scale, with the sole
exception of an abortive citizen revolt. Maybe Ms. Thompson thinks it's
time for it to go down, who knows? Maybe she just has a Joan of Arc
complex. I think she's out of her mind, but God bless her anyway.

Damage control? Face it, the RTKBA camp has lost that war and they're
too cowardly to face up to it and start planning their next moves,
whether this means expatriation or warfare. When the RTKBA camp works
their asses off just to postpone their oppression a couple of months
longer and calls it victory, they're obviously living in a fantasy
world. Gun owners are being legally (and illegally) persecuted worse
than any group since the enactment of Jim Crow laws. The media
relentlessly cheerleads this witch hunt and politicians of both major
parties are spraining their ankles trying to jump on the bandwagon. The
anti "assault weapons" frenzy is transparently about establishing a
precedent for banning all "non-sporting" firearms, most notably
handguns, in the immediate aftermath. Watch and see.

If anyone thinks that the ineffectual "War on Drugs" and "War on Crime"
indicate that the "War on Guns" will pose no threat, they ought to
realize that the Federal government is not threatened by street crime
and drug abuse. Indeed, those "crises" serve the State in that both the
very real problems and their hysterical inflation by the media serve to
increase the Federal State's power through the surrendering of money and
freedom by stampeded constituencies, vid. "The Omnibus Anti-Crime Bill,"
an absolute obscenity before God.

I overheard a conversation the other day. One speaker was talking about
the "boiled frog syndrome" in reference to the onslaught on our rights.
"You throw a frog into boiling water and he'll jump out immediately, but
if you put him into the pot when the water's cold and then heat it up
gradually, he'll be cooked before he realizes it's too late to jump."

This is certainly what seems to be happening with the RTKBA people.

Maybe Linda Thompson is just trying to turn up the gas in time.G
