The winner for the largest U.S. city
to fail to record a murder in 1993
goes to Simi Valley, California.

Also worthy of note is that Kettering, OH,
which recorded no murders, borders
Dayton, whiched ranked #3 in per capita
murder for OH, beaten out by #1 Youngstown
and #2 Cleveland.

Dayton's murder rate is nearly twice that of
Columbus, more than twice that of Cincinnati,
and three times that of Akron.

Also, there is only ONE (1) gun store located
within the city limits of Dayton (corner of Water-
vliet and Smithville).

Dayton is on I-75 (the Detroit-Miami artery) and
just south of I-70 (paralleling the Old National
Highway).
