This being a recurring question, you are encouraged to contact the
Independence Institute, in Golden, CO.  They have just released an
issue paper by yours truly and David Kopel that includes the details
of the various states that have adopted non-discretionary concealed
carry permit laws, and includes details of what happened to murder
rates before and after the adoption of those laws.  I believe they are
charging $6 for it.

The California Bar Association wants lawyers added to the list of groups
given special protection by "hate crime" laws.  Did I miss something?  Since
when have $75/hour lawyers become oppressed minorities?
