(I can e-mail you a picture of him, if you're interested. The resemblance is uncanny, especially with his wrap-around shades.) One evening we took Erik's car to go find some dinner, and as we were coming out of the Hyatt's parking garage, Dan Raspler and a couple other guys were walking by in front of us. Dan glanced at Erik, did a double-take, waved, and kept staring at us as we drove away. We were sort of excited about it, because we had talked to Dan earlier that day and given him a copy of our anthology. We figured he must have liked it! It wasn't until dessert that Shaun realized that Raspler must have though Erik was Grant, and was probably wondering what he was doing driving those other three losers around! *Our room number was 2012. Invisibles readers, take note. *On Saturday, as we were waiting around for the Anti-Gravity Room guys to show up, Kevin Smith walked by. We flagged him down and gave him a copy of the antho, but he seemed to be more interested in the pretzel he was eating than anything we were saying. Man, he was digging on that pretzel... Anyway, the moral of the story is, "If you want people to pay attention to your work, at least wait until they're done eating." (I think Erik caught his attention when he started comparing Brodie from Mallrats to Lord Byron, though.) *One morning at breakfast, at some place whose name I can't remember but that had pancakes as big as your head, we saw Jill Thompson walking down the street. The bright orange hair was the first clue, and the parasol and stuffed-animal backpack clinched it. There's no story there--we just saw her and thought that was pretty cool. Sean Medlock
