Subject: Full PCA Comics papers

I thought the readers of ComicsL might be interested in some of these papers,
espcially if they missed the Comic Arts Conference at the San Diego Comicon.
Several of this year's PCA presenters are past CAC presenters (and often on
related topics). Given the recent discussion of stereotypes, the paper on gays
and the one on black superheroes might be interesting to people if they are
going to be in Chicago in April. There are more superhero papers than usual
(just something I noticed). Anyway if you need more info or would like to
contact any of the presenters, just send me a note.

Here are the Comics and Comic Art Area and comics papers from other areas for
the 1994 Popular Culture/ American Culture Association Conference. It will be
held at the Palmer House Hilton in Chicago, April 6-9. For information on
attending as a non-presenter, and be sure to mention that, please write: Pat
Browne, Popular Culture Conference (1994), BGSU Popular Press, BGSU, Bowling
Green OH 43403. All panels are in Sandburg 6, except where noted for non-Comic
Art Area panels (marked with a %).
