ROMANTIC BROWNIES

     2 oz unsweetened chocolate          ½ tsp salt
     ¼ cup butter                        ½ cup flour
     1 cup sugar                         ½ cup chopped walnuts
     2 beaten eggs                       1 tsp vanilla

Melt the chocolate over hot water, using a sauce pan large enough for the remaining ingredients. Remove from heat and stir in the butter until melted.

Stir in the sugar well, then the eggs, then the salt and flour. Fold in the walnuts and vanilla.

Pour into a 7-inch square pan lined with wax paper and bake 40-50 minutes at 300°. Allow to cool before removing from the pan. Makes 16.
