RANCH BEANS 3 15-oz cans navy beans 2 dashes tabasco 1 medium onion, diced 1 cup ketchup 2 tbsp brown sugar ½ cup beer ⅛ tsp salt 3 strips bacon ⅛ tsp pepper Sauté onion. Mix all ingredients together and pour into a 1-½ qt casserole. Lay bacon strips over top. Bake at 350° for one hour. Adapted from “Beans grown in Michigan” (1970).
