OATMEAL SESAME COOKIES ¾ cup butter ¼ tsp baking powder 1-½ cups packed brown sugar ½ cup toasted sesame 2 eggs ¾ cup oatmeal 1-¼ cups flour 1 tsp vanilla Cream the butter and sugar. Add eggs and beat well. Sift the flour and baking powder together, and mix in the sesame seed and oatmeal. Stir into the butter and sugar, and mix well. Add vanilla and mix again. Drop by teaspoons onto greased cookie sheets and bake at 325° for 10-15 minutes. Adapted from the “Progressive Farmer’s Southern Cookbook” (1961).
