OATMEAL BUTTER COOKIES

         1 cup butter                ¾ cup packed brown sugar
         2 cups sifted flour         ¾ cup oatmeal, ground fine

Cream the butter; add the sugar gradually, beating until fluffy. Add the flour and oats and mix well.

Roll out on a floured board to ⅛-inch and cut with floured cookie cutters. Move to lightly-greased cookie sheets and bake at 300° for 20 to 25 minutes.

Sprinkle with powdered sugar when cool.
