GOLDEN WALNUT CREAMS

⅔ cup golden syrup ¾ cup chopped walnuts
2 cups sugar 1-½ tsp vanilla
           ½ cup water

Boil the syrup, sugar, and water to 256°, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat, and beat with a wooden spoon until it begins to thicken. Mix in the walnuts and vanilla. Pour into a buttered 8x8 pan, score into squares, and let cool. Once cool, remove from the pan and break along the score marks.
