DATE-PECAN ROLL

8 oz vanilla wafers 5-½ oz condensed milk
1 cup chopped dates 2 tsp lemon juice
          ½ cup chopped pecans

Crush the vanilla wafers; mix the crumbs, dates, and nuts together. Blend the sweetened condensed milk and the lemon juice together, then add to the crumb mixture. Knead well, until everything is combined.

Form into a three-inch-diameter roll. Wrap in waxed paper and chill overnight. Slice, and eat on their own or garnished with whipped cream and/or fruit.
