CORIANDER COOKIES ½ cup butter 1 cup sugar ½ tsp salt 1 large egg ¼ tsp soda 2 cups sifted flour 5 tsp ground coriander ½ cup sour milk Cream together the butter, salt, soda, and coriander. Gradually blend in sugar. Add the egg and beat well. Add flour alternately with milk, blending well. Drop the dough from a tablespoon onto lightly-greased cookie sheets about 2 inches apart. Bake at 375° for 12-15 minutes until lightly browned around the edges. Cool on a wire rack. Adapted from the “Spice Cookbook” (1964).
