APPLE CRISP

             5 cups tart apples             ¾ cup oatmeal
             1 cup brown sugar              1 tsp cinnamon
             ¾ cup flour                    ½ cup butter

Pare and slice the apples. Arrange in a buttered 8x8 pan. Mix the sugar, flour, oats, and cinnamon. Cut in the butter until crumbly. Press mixture over the apples. Bake at 350° for 45-50 minutes or until the top is browned.
