You will occasionally see the Jerry’s Diner Good Food symbol on a recipe’s page. This is my indicator that not only have I tried this recipe, I’ve found it to be an exceptional value in terms of taste and economy of effort. Watch for it!
- Barbecue ribs stew
- You can’t get ribs much easier than putting them in your crockpot in the morning and pulling them out eight hours later.
- Black bean and cilantro salsa
- An incredible salsa, filled with cilantro and other bright flavors. It is also very easy to make and can be whipped up in a few minutes.
- Chocolate cookies (for breakfast)
- We woke up this morning and then we stayed in bed for a few hours. And when we finally did get up, we desperately needed breakfast. And sugar. And chocolate. What we needed were chocolate cookies for breakfast. Made quickly with a minimum of fuss.
- Easy biscotti
- A very easy Italian biscotti with toasted almonds and orange peel, these cookies are sure to be a hit.
- Green bean salad
- Olive oil, garlic, and parmesan is a decadently simple sauce for many things: pasta, corn, zucchini, even, if you want to, steamed brussels sprouts.
- Half hour cookies
- From start to finish, you can be eating the first batch of these crunchy, sweet cookies in just under half an hour, using ingredients that, if you bake at all, you almost certainly already have on hand.
- Half-hour biscuits
- There’s no reason to settle for lesser prepared biscuits when you can make these in half an hour.
- Macaroni and cheese
- If you keep pasta and good meltable cheese on hand, there’s no reason to make powdered, packaged cheese pasta.
- Pesto
- This zesty, lemony pesto is easy to make, and very versatile.
- Quick bean and ground beef chili
- This makes a great chili, a great dip for tortillas, and a great lunch for freezing. And it’s a very fast recipe.
