Negative Space: Christmas
- 8 (bit) Days of Christmas
- Eight holiday images created on the TRS-80 Color Computer, from the early to mid eighties.
- 8 (bit) Days of Christmas: Day 0 (Go Tell It On the CoCo!)
-
Day 0 of the 8 (bit) days of Christmas. Christmas Eve, and the cattle are lowing.
- Candy cane oatmeal crispies
-
These candy cane cookies are a great way to use up post-Christmas candy canes. You might even want to hit the after-Christmas sales just to get canes to make these with.
- Christmas Eve
-
Christmas Eve, with snow, a red-brick chapel, and stylized evergreens
- A Christmas Tree
- I originally made this Christmas Tree for Danny LaRue on Freegate. It features lights, ornaments, and decorations. You can put presents under it, and it grows the more stuff it has on it. The Tree keeps track of who owns the various lights and decorations, and only the owners (and the Tree’s owner, and wizards) can delete or edit their lights and decorations.
- Easter Candy-Cane Ice Cream
-
Candy canes are a shepherd’s staff. At Christmas, the shepherds were witnesses to Christ’s birth. By Easter, Christ is the good shepherd, giving his life for his lost lambs.
- Going My Way/Holiday Inn
- This is a double feature with Holiday Inn. This is a very sweet movie, with a real tear-jerker (but happy) ending. “Holiday Inn”, on the other hand, is a showpiece for Crosby’s singing, Astair’s dancing, and Berlin’s holiday music.
- Have a Merry Scripting Christmas with Persistence of Vision
-
The ASCII Merry Christmas from Astounding Scripts was taken from a scene I created in Persistence of Vision. It’s a very simple scene that highlights many of the advantages of using POV to create images.
- Have yourself a musical command line…
-
…Make your scripting gay. From now on your errors will be miles away!
- Looking back over 1950 in vintage cooking
-
While I didn’t make my goal of trying a recipe every month in the month it was meant for, following this calendar through 2023 was an interesting experience and provided some very good food.
- Real frothin’ eggnog
- You are going to need a straw to drink this eggnog—because it’s too frothy to pour out of your glass.
- Sparkling lights for Christmas
-
This POV-Ray scene file will animate sparkling lights against a green background. If you want to make three dimensional images with lots of similar objects and then animate them, this will show you how to do it.
