Then, go read Miller and see who it says the militia is. What is this “the bill of rights is out of date so we oppose it” argument? It is absolutely mind-boggling that the ACLU can argue that “the people” of the bill of rights is actually state governments and that rights go out of date and can be ignored. When will they start applying that reasoning to the first amendment?
