Back when I used Mac OS 9 and earlier to manage my web sites, I wrote several AppleScripts to assist me. While I still use AppleScript a lot, I don’t use it so much for managing my web site. Now that Mac OS X includes Perl and Python, I use those to manage the site.
At the moment, I’m also using Django to store the site off-line, with a cron script to upload pages automatically when their content changes.
I’m keeping this software available for historical purposes, but it is unlikely that I’ll ever update it, or re-compile any of it for Mac OS X. When I need that kind of functionality, I use Perl or Python now.
