I’ve linked to Big Lizards in the past, but over the last week Lizard Dafydd has been putting out absolute must-read analysis that you shouldn’t miss if you plan on voting this year. Just subscribe to their RSS feed. It’s been an eye-opener.
I admit, I had assumed that the media reports about John Hagee’s denouncement of Catholics was true. I should have known better. I even assumed that President Bush had mentioned Barack Obama in his speech to the Knesset. Silly me. In my defense, I did recognize that John McCain offering to go to Hamas with no preconditions was about as likely as a snowball in hell.
- Hagee Non-Recants and Issues Non-Apology Apology for Words He Never Said
- “I was intrigued by the selective quotations and strange refusal to quote the letter at length… and I suspected foul play.”
- Appease Porridge Hot, Appease Porridge Cold
- “The wicked flee when no man pursueth. Bush attacked appeasement—and Obama instantly recognized himself, reacting angrily and defensively. So even Obama realizes that his proposed unconditional dialoging with Mahmoud, Jong-Il, Raul, and Oogo skirts perilously close to appeasement.”
- Democrat Limbo—How Low Can They Go?
- “Contrary to Obama’s misinformed claim, we were not ‘on the brink of nuclear war’ with the Soviets in June 1961; but we certainly were after that disastrous conference, which likely precipitated the Cuban Missile Crisis of 1962. And that, evidently, is the template which Obama looks to for his own diplomatic adventures, should he become president.”
